Male Sexuality vs. Female Sexuality

A Tribute To Shark

Female attraction vs. Male attraction. It can get confusing because it’s argued that females have a sexual drive just as great as men, yet that girls and guys are still fundamentally different from each other in terms of attraction. A true analysis of the differences/similarities between guys and girls in terms of their sex drives could take years and someone could probably write thousands of books before the subject was exhausted. So rather than go over every single difference, I want to point out one important one, and I’ll give a simple metaphor to explain it.

Ok so, Playboy. You’ve undoubtedly heard of it. One of the most successful magazines in history. Its sales are through the roof. PlayGIRL however, doesn’t seem to be doing nearly as well. Playgirl sells only a fraction of the amount that Playboy sells. In fact, the main customers of Playgirl aren’t even girls, they’re gay men.

So what do women read to get themselves going? Who is the bestselling author of all time besides Shakespeare? (It’s not J.K Rowling btw). It’s Barbara Cartland. And what does Barbara Cartland mainly write? Romance novels. And not kiddish fairy tales either, her Romance Novels are extremely explicit and have an extraordinary amount of sexual content in them. So girls want to READ about sex, they don’t like to see it in plain view the guy guys do.

So what does this mean? Girls are into sex just as much as guys are into it. But they pay much more attention to the CONTEXT that sexual activity takes place in. They are turned on much more by the deeper psychological aspects of sex. The men in these books aren’t wearing lingerie like the women in playboy magazines. They’re wearing suits, or some sort of clothing that sets them apart. They exude confidence, and most importantly, they have POWER. They are dominant, charming Alpha males. The sexual scenes in the books are jam packed with turbulent emotions and psychological stimulation, NOT just gnarly physical stuff.

If you truly understand this, then you’ll realize that the implications are huge. For example, in sex, it means that the physical stimulation you provide is NOTHING compared to the psychological stimulation you provide. The things you say, the way you act, whether you’re dominant or not, how much you can stimulate her emotions during sex is INFINITELY more important than rubbing the right spots.
